Designers depicted as brand logos on tees, Mike Frederiqo starts a new trend

Young creative designer Mike Frederiqo( and I mean really young, he’s the same age as I am!) has designed a range of cute tees using the designers themselves to create brand logo’s. I spotted this artikel on InStyle, they were saying that celebraties such as Diane Kruger, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Alba have been seen sporting these tees.

 Mike Frederiqo born in 1991 , from The Nederlands started drawing at a young age. He stared of as a tattoo artist with some graffiti on the side before moving on to illustrations. It wasn’t long before he was noticed by numerous publications with his series of Spongebob cartoons depicted as designers among other things.

Today he focusses mainly on tee line.

Belgian: Juli edition Dries Van Noten

Dries Van Noten is one of Belgium's famous fashion designers and our Belgian designer of the month. Born in Antwerp, Dries Van Noten is a third generation tailer and is know all over the world and even sells pieces at Barney's, and that's saying something! Back in 2005 New York Times described him as "one of fashion's most cerebral designers". Dries Van Noten is know for his unique style, working with color, prints and embroidery with an ethnic touch and it's all wearable.

I like this designer and the prints he uses. He likes clashing prints and dares to mix them up with a brilliant outcome. Slightly(!) pricier than the previous designers I have shown but nevertheless a great Belgian designer that makes us proud to be Belgian.

This month I'm showing you a young designer who originally started of as an architect but soon realised her heart lies in the fashion designing business. Starting small designing and selling for friends and family and growing fast ,Karolien Verstraeten Designs was born. She currently has Flagshipstores in Antwerp and Ghent and tries to do as much as possible herself , keeping her line affordable.

Her cute and chic designs are fresh and straight cutlines give it extra edge. She's definitely one to watch!
